This end-of-year holidays, we will start a new recording session. The plan is to record three songs at most. Among them, the classic Brain show opening song, Can’t Quit You and and a new one we did with our new drummer.
The first task is to turn our rehearsal room into a recording studio. Drum recording is always the most challenging part since we use acoustic drum kits only. There are a lot of microphones, cables and stands all over the place. The kit itself have to be tuned up correctly.
When it comes to recording, the procedure is to warm up with a click track, and the turn the click track off. We never record the actual song with a click. We like to do it the old fashioned way.
